Respondus is a free application available to Laredo College students for their home computers. Respondus Lockdown Browser is a custom browser that locks down the testing environment within Canvas. Respondus Monitor records the student while taking the exam.
Please follow the steps below to install the Lockdown Browser program on an Apple computer.

Step 1. View the video that provides a brief explanation of Lockdown Browser. After viewing the video, click on the “Install Now” button.
Step 2. The browser will start the download to your computer.
Step 3. Once the file has been downloaded, go to your downloads folder and click on the download to start the lockdown browser installer.
Step 4. Click on the Installer Package to begin the installation.
Step 5. Allow the program to run.
Step 6. Click Continue.
Step 7. You will then be prompted to accept the license agreement. Click continue and agree.
Step 8. Select Install for all users of this computer and click continue.
Step 9. Then click Install.
Step10. Enter your administrator password for your computer and click Install Software.
Step 11. Installation will begin.
Step 12. When the installation is completed, you can click close.
Step 13. The Lockdown Browser app will be in your application folder.
