Respondus Lockdown Browser and Monitor (RLB) is a free application that allows you to take exams using your home computer and a webcam. Respondus Lockdown Browser is a custom browser that locks the testing environment within Canvas. Respondus Monitor records you while you are taking the exam. Respondus is available for Windows, macOS, and Chromebooks.

Using Lockdown Browser and a Webcam for Online Exams

Online courses at Laredo College require the use of LockDown Browser and a webcam for exams. The webcam can be built into your computer or an external camera that plugs in with a USB cable.
